Nah you need recon whenever you do things to the suspension ride hight or somthing like that.
Last time I heard body kits lips don't count anymore.

is it jus drop springs? or a coilover set?
from what ive heard correct me if im wrong. if ur car has a modded suspension. from the license plate to the ground has to be no more then 12'' from the ground. and if u have fogs? it has to be no more then 8''.
also i think u need alignment papers with in specs.

he was probably measuring from the headlights. If you look, theres a dot on your headlight and thats where he measure from. But what do I know, the last time I got my recon was back in '00.lol

License plate doesn't matter as long as it's mounted in front of the car. Headlight height does matter though. I believe it's 22" from the ground to the dot on the lens.

Suspension has to have noticeable give (not too stiff).

hahaha the percentage of people riding with recon is very low, as long as you arent driving like an @$$ or caught speeding you should be fine.

This is true, but I've seen a significant increase in enforcement on the freeways lately. Motorcycle cops are screening cars on h1 traffic looking at tags and pulling over modified cars. The sherriffs in downtown have been recently trained and are freely giving out tickets on that side as well. I know I've been followed 3 or 4 times and I can tell that my recon sticker saved me from getting pulled over. I think the state needs money and realized that this is an easy money maker for them. I know it's a hassle but this $15 decal goes a long way.

I don't have Recon and I will never get it because my Car is too stiff and Low.
They did drop the license plate thing awhile back. Mostly because Factory Vette's are low already. They would have to get lifted to pass recon..haha
