Nah.. I'm not like that. Sometimes I wish I was. I'm more of a name-dropper. But today I was totally out of it and pissed off.

I wish I had names to drop. Then again I've never been pulled over.

I've been pulled over for speeding once in my thirty years of driving for going an alleged sixty in a thirty-five. I contested the ticket in writing and had the ticket dismissed, having to pay a twenty dollar processing fee. I drive up the Likelike daily and traffic flows at a "normal" sixty, but that is during traffic and everyone is going that fast. Normally there are no cops when I am going home towards Kaneohe because it is packed, but I noticed that they are checking town-bound traffic because it is more sparse, especially just out of the tunnel and at the bottom where it turns to 35. My wife always reminds me that the scoop and wing adds to perceived speed so I have to drive sane.

Did he show you the radar gun? Also check your ticket to make sure he filled it out correctly. Any discrepancies can be used in court to have the ticket dismissed, otherwise you can go to court, and hope he is too busy to show up. Otherwise, stop speeding on the freeway & do it in the mountains where it belongs!!! J/K.

Yeah I was thinking about writing a letter to contest it.. I honestly didn't even see him gunning because they were both standing next to the car they had already pulled over. Blah. And even if I were to write a letter... I wouldn't know where to begin >.< I've never contested a ticket in writing...

ok so the van in front of you so that means the ticket suppose to be for him but instead you pulled over, what I would have done if I had a stock car like yours I would go next to the van and see who the cop picks haha... ahhh I dont know what im talking about o_O or since you were going down from Like-Like you could have hide out in my street since its right down the place you pulled over ^^

I would write a letter stating the officer had someone pulled over already, and did not appear to have his radar available. He actually waved you down making a judgement call based on a visual guess that you were speeding. With no actual proof of your speeding I think this might just hold up.

It's time to et a Perrin stealth front mount and a hood scoop delete! I had a friend who went wingless on his Evo8 when they first came out just because it drew so much attention, of course he did buy a red one.....

You'll get targetted over a van going at the same speed if you drive a Subaru. I've experienced it and dealt with it.

Police officers think I'm an Asian old lady driving so they never will bother me

Write the letter, thats probably your best bet! Make it short & to the point.
The courts have enough crap to put up with, and you have a pretty good case. Say you pulled over because he practically jumped in front of you,not because you thought you were speeding!!
Stick it to the man!! Mostly though,STOP SPEEDING!!!

LoL @ BoOm!

But seriously Tiff, driving a WRX can kinda be a hassle like that. About the only time cops aren't looking at us is when there's a red Corvette nearby. And that's when you stay the hell away from the Corvette to avoid a speed contest ticket
