I had a car just like that when I was 15. My first car actually.
1982 GL
It had power windows
cruise control
a lever to select between FWD, 4WD High, and 4WD Low
adjustable ride height front and rear.
third headlight behind the front subaru emblem that popped up manually
spare tire was under the hood
timing marks on the flywheel
It had 346,000 miles on it when I sold it...still runing but i broke a shift fork jumping it one day.
Sadly for me, I didnt have the confidence to fix it, so I sold it. But that years ago, when I was naive enough to believe that I didnt have the ability to do things for myself.
That car was amazing. I learned all about e-brake 180's and J-turns in it. It didnt have a straight panel on it when i sold it. I totaled it like 3 different times... but it was just cosmetic. I kept driving it even after the passenger side was so smashed that the doors wouldnt open and the passenger seat leaned over and touched the driver seat. The radiator support was a parallelogram from jumping it and landing really hard on the driverside front, bumper first, one time. (I jumped it twice as high as the video on a regular basis)
There were guys in my high school with jeeps and 4wd trucks that couldnt clmb stuff that i climbed in that car.
