Smile Ran up and down Haleakala today!

All I can say is I think I fried the brakes on the rental (Neon). I would love to drive my STI up and down that thing one day, hope they reopen that ferry soon.

That's why most rental car places force you to sign the agreement that you'll come down in a low gear. They probably had too many cars returned with messed up brakes.

any pics? it's freaky how when you get high up, you're level with the clouds. the scray part is the lack of a wall/barrier from falling off!

no wall or barrier never really freaks me out but the lack of o2 at that level mixed with twists and turns is kinda trippy. we gave my son a bottle of milk at the top and he lost his lunch on the way down (poor baby I guess he is trying to tell dad he sucks and I need to practice with a paper cup full of water sitting in the cup holder)
