RallyX does not put the same amount of stress on suspension as AutoX since in a RallyX you slide the car. AutoX is grip, hence putting more stress on components when in rallyX the same components would not be in anywhere near as much stress due to the sliding rather then the gripping. And if u wash and wax ur car before and after each rallyx, ur paint will still look pretty and people will be surprised you off road the car lol.

also make sure to clean out all parts and areas on the car. left over dirt can cause issues...
I think the extreme adulation the car experiences and cycling the suspension components go through while adding dirt as a abrasive component would be way more stress inducive that auto-x.

I cannot see how coming down a straight into a turn on smooth asphalt is more stressful on my car then coming down a bumpy straight into a turn where my wheels hit ruts.

Now im not trying to disagree with you for the sake of disagreeing with you, because i WILL still be rally-xing when it finally opens here, i just trying to wrap my head around what you are trying to explain to me.

Crap, vern, this weekend I'm in enough trouble... My power steering has been intermittently going out on me this week, I'm pretty sure it's the electronic power steering vane pump, but it cost bucks and I can't bring one in in time for the race...

Didn't vote because I'm not there yet, but if I manage to move out, I'll definitely take part and even help organize.

Try www.formularallyx.com, I don't think their new season has started yet. Most of the board and founder is on dirtyimpreza.com. If you ask on there someone will know.

Just to update we are looking at a March start date.

We have a aprox 1:30 course length with a minimum of four runs. When runs are over we will have free "fun runs".
Our track will be laid out over the next few weeks. It is a coral mix surface with transitions to tarmac. We are currently getting insurance quotes and looking for general course workers & sponsors.

If anyone is interested is being a course worker contact me ericamackinnon@gmail.com or post up on here.
We will provide lunch for course workers

If anybody is interested in a before event Q&A I will gladly organize one.
-Erica

Will do.

There are a lot of people making this happen. Mike kitchens, Chris Messer, Tom Bryant and the land owner, JR Grace have been instrumental to this project. Because of them we have a venue, all of the equipment needed and a lot of experience. Mike Malsed of FRX and Norman from Canadian Rallycross (who came and visited our venue and tried out our surface) have provided us with their general rallycross and course design expertise.

We are currently applying for NASA insurance.

RallyX Hawaii will be staying an independent company in order to allow us to create our own classes and point systems with consideration to participants input.

We are considered a "developing region" under FRX. This means we can do what we want but if anyone wants to go to the mainland rallycross championships down the line they will be able to go to FRX based in CA.

What we really need now are sponsors and for people to spread the word that Rallycross is starting up here out at KRP.
