Quick question for you NA or front mount guys out there

Are the impreza hoods MY04-05 (R.S. and T.S. i presume) not made of lightweight aluminum like the WRX models?

They are steel, not aluminum.

Thanks J. I want to do the same as your hood, but didn't wanna bite your design.

^^^That's what I'd do...that or a vent in the hood scoop locale.

Those RS hoods are heavy...I remember going to lift up the hood on my wife's 05 and feeling like it was way heavier than mine. Gotta be a lot more mass shifted up high that you wouldn't want especially for auto-x.
