If all else fails you could get ceramic coating spray and do that. I significantly reduced temps under my hood when i did headers and down pipe.

Haha, funny you post this. I was literally just reading into powder coating stuff too. I've personally never had any work done, but the 2 of the more popular ones here are in Kapolei. There's Mekala and Hi-Tech.

On that note, has anybody or does anybody know if they can strip and re-powder coat wheel lips "chrome" or something resembling a polished lip? If not, they have HyperBlack right?

Thats actually what i ment but totally forgot what its called. i was thinking of wrapping the intake plumbing, and box with reflective tape. Along with under hood, also looking at doing Phenolic Intake Spacers, coat all of the exhaust, and intake manifold. and also wrap the turbo. Trying to cool temps under the hood but we will see.

No reflective tape. Unless my car is what your looking to be like. Mine=Ghetto

Just spray hot side of turbo and slap a blanket on it and wrap and spray the headers and downpipe and bake accordingly

I've actually had a lot of parts powder coated thru Mekala's for my motorcycle and they do pretty good work. They will sandblast all parts prior to powder coating. But I'm not sure if they do a polished finish but they do have a bunch of different shades of black. And the turn around is usually quoted for 10 business days but usually gets done quicker at about 7.

Just a little tip, the more parts you take in, the better of a deal they are willing to give you. Granted all the parts are a being coated the same color. However, I think wheels are a flat rate depending on their size.

What makes your reflective tape mock up ghetto? The reason im thinking reflective tape, is because i have no intercooler. So the cooler of air i can throw in the better. I also don't plan on upgrading turbos any time soon, and going back stockish.... I have wraped UEL's on at the moment and it runs like crap, looks like crap, and just soaks up all leaks lol.
