I would request to see the speed on the laser gun. If not then how would they verify the speed u r going at? If they refuse, I would request their presence at court.

Back when I had my turbo box Civic, I got clocked doin' 113 in a 55 west bound right after the Kunia exit. My fine was supposed to be $500 but since my record was clean for 10 years, the judge cut the fine in half.

Well is it really necessary to go in excess of 20+ over the speed limit? You guys might think that cops are the bad guys in all this. They are just doing their job. If you know that what you did was wrong, why try and fight it? Remember "If you want to play, you gotta pay".

I think they should use disgression in writing tickets and some officers should show some respect for the public.
Im all for the HPD and respect and admire what they do for the community, but there are those "select" few that are ****** like the motorbike officer that nudged my friend on his sportbike while they were riding side by side on their motorcycles. Or the officer that tailed me on H3 while I was doing the speed limit with other cars around me for a good mile or so. When I changed lanes to get out his way he pulled me over and he asked me why I changed lanes.
I told him you were right on my bumper so i changed lanes to get out of his way as I thought he was in a hurry or emergency... Basically he was tailing me to gauge my speed even though there were many cars around me on the H-3 and I doing 55 MPH... He checked my ID, had nothing more to say, and as he left he told me to slow down (even though I wasnt speeding) and called me an "a-whole" as he walked back to his bike..I called him a ***** as I rolled up my window...
What a champ!!

I do agree that sometimes certain individuals do ruin it for everyone else. I had a similar story back a couple of years ago. Though the same could be said for our side of the "fence" also.
