From Playboy

Yeah, I like to read it. It beats the pants off of Esquire not to mention FHM, Blender, Maxim...

From PB, Jan 2004 - Forum, Newsfront

Boston--A 17-year-old and his family were pulled off a flight to Hawaii after airport security found a note inside his checked luggage. It read: "F you. Stay the f out of my bag, you c-ksucker. Have you found a f-ing bomb yet? No, just clothes. Am I right? Yeah, so f you." Prosecutors charged the teen with making a bomb threat, which is a felony. "In today's security environment, there's no room for joking," said an official.
As a poli-scientist (can someone with just a bachelor's call themselves that? ) there are so many levels to this. First thing, though, is that since this is just a blurb, it leaves me wondering what more there is to the story.

Second is censorship. Third is what is inciteful speech and can it change with the environment? Fourth is the realization that this is most likely a federal offense (whether misdemeanor or felony, I have no idea.) Fifth is the lengths folks will go to get their 'message' across and/or the lengths folks will go to get a laugh.

I love a topic that can be discussed or that I can personally chew on.

And you've gotta love the jokes.

[quote]When a Las Vegas vacationer won $500 at the tables, he vistited the best hooker in town. "Two hundred and fifty dollars for a bj," she said.
"Two hundred and fifty?" he asked.
"Look," she said, pointing out the window. "Do you see that BMW in the parking lot? I paid cash for it because I give the best bj's in town."
So the man paid her the money. He was not disappointed. The next day the man won $1,000 and sought out the same hooker. "I want to have ****," he said. "How much?"
"Five hundred," she said. "See that penthouse over there? I own it because I have the best *** in town."
The man paid and was not disappointed. The following evening he visited her again and said, "I just want some punani today."
"See that shopping center over there?" she asked.
"Don't tell me you own that, too," he said.
"No," she replied. "But I would if I had a punani."

Think we could get some 'banger' racing started here on the island? Seems like its big in the UK.

I guess what it boils down to is a demolition race. Whoever the leader is (and whoever else gets in your way) you're free to knock the crap out of them.

I like that joke As for the first post, I have to question the legality of busting the teen. I don't see how the note could be taken as a bomb threat, nor was it directly issued to someone. I don't think what the kid did was very intellegent, but I don't think it was illegal. I would like to hear the details of this though.

Legally I would think its the same as saying verbally anything with the word "bomb" in it. They can legally arrest and charge you for that so why not have the same charge for writing something. If they didnt charge people who just wrote stuff heck everyone would make threats and such via writing. Just my 2 cents worth. He was a moron for doing that so he deserves what hes getting. They will drop the charges anyways, they just need to publicize it so others might think twice.

Very well put. I'm the first to admit that civil liberties may need to be reined in a little bit when it's more important to keep order. I'm not a fan of it, but I understand and endorse.
