Non-residents(military excluded) can not buy property until they have consistently lived in Hawaii for 5 years.

Halt the Rail and put in a toll-based elevated expressway above the H1. Minimal exits(will have to figure out the merging problem) and 50c toll cost. If you need to get somewhere fast, you'll pay it. Our rail takes too long to make. Okinawa and Zhuhai-Macau rail lines are 3-4x longer than ours and was built under 5 years. 2019 for our rail is really stupid.

No more bone-headed stuff like HEY LETS PUT anti slip coating on Tantalus to deter "drifters". These residents there are in for a RUDE surprise when the grip racers come in.

Funding for motorsports activities!
John,

You know I'd support you if I was there. Though if you really want to go any further than state leg. you're gonna have to close down that Facebook page ha ha ha. Oh and this last post here on i-Club. Really if you want to win your actual opinion needs to be in as few places as possible. (This is why I got out of politics). Bottom line, to be a winning politician, you have to be ambivalent, a centrist on most divisive issues and very likeable both in appearance, name and personal relationships. Most of the actual lawmaking is not made in the public forum it is made behind closed doors...you just have to get elected or be a leader of a large group to get in those doors. More or less.

Being that I am an ex-political operative, I can tell you right now, people will use most of your posts on FB against you...even if you think they're tame.

Still not as bad as some of my buddies posting stripper pictures!

The government is disconnected with the people. My first thought when I read about this is: "People can actually go faster now". Where are the expert opinions on this? Where is the information on who is heading these projects? Those guys definitely need a better solution, rather than a knee-jerk reaction.

No taxation without representation. Could auto-enthusiasts realistically do anything about this? Seems like "Build the Track" and other efforts yield no fruit.

i have been kinda following the BTT eversince 2007 and the Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council is on the right track on this. they are just facing a lot of politics and adversaries among the intricacies of obtaining land permits, etc. they are faced by a huge task and i give them the credit for being persistent and not giving up. the least we can do as enthusiasts is to go to the show tomorrow , June 19 at the Aloha Tower to learn more about the progress, show your support, and how you can help. we cannot be just spectators anymore and watch from the sidelines.

here's more info:

Make them those plastic speed logs, 6 of them before and after the turn in a row 6in apart. The residents will get tired of them real fast.

Wouldn't stop me, rally-height suspension FTW!

I'm just joking btw, before anyone of you pounce on that street-racer statement.
