Azeka's is no longer around. I just ate at Sam Sato's a few weeks ago. Good stuff.
I gotta get you over here Diego. Maui has changed a lot since the 90s.

Forgot where I stayed the last time since I go to Maui once in a while with the wife. But we stayed at a hotel that had rooms more like a apartment with full kitchen, living room, and seperate master bedroom and bath. Was way better than staying in a $600-$1000 hotel room.
That way, you can still visit the spas and enjoy the beach and still save money. was like being away from home, but still living at home....

Go to the Alii Lavendar farm in Kula and after you're done, go to the Kula Country farms and look at their pumpkin patch and the giant pumpkin.

We were just talking about that yesterday too. My wife is going to look into that as well. No matter what we do, I'm sure it will be a fun and relaxing weekend......with no kids! Yay! Thanks Ed for all your recommendations. I'd be happy to return the favor when you travel back to Oahu.

so I better not forget my jacket! Then I think we're heading to Sam Sato's for some breakfast after. Hey Ed, how's The Lahaina Grill? We're headed to Lahaina to cruise around town and have dinner on Friday. I read that they were voted best Maui restaurant for 19 years in a row or something? Gotta be doing something right, huh?

Never ate at Lahaina grill, but Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mack fame has a new restaurant on front street. My buddy said it's nice and the food is good.

Glad you guys are having a good time. My wife and I had a nice weekend at the Grand Wailea. Excellent customer service and the pool there was amazing as well. We tried Lahaina Grill for dinner on Friday and it was a really nice time. The service was great, the food was very good, and the owner even came around to every single table to greet and thank the customers. We own a body shop here in Hawaii and I can fully appreciate good customer service. If you have a chance and are in Lahaina, check it out. Enjoy the rest of your stay in the Islands
don't forget to get some opakapaka (FRESH, NOT FROZEN, THEY HAVE BOTH) fish n chips over at eskimo candy in kihei! hits the spot for lunch after a morning stand up paddle session!
