Physics question
I know this is a little technical, but I'm posting it in here because it's a little hairbrained and my flame suit is broken. Also because I know little about science.
Steam is 600degF. What would happen if I were able to take out the pot in my espresso machine (or something larger), hook up a solenoid that only allowed it out after a certain TPS or boost, hook up a bleed-to-atmosphere once the pressure inside of the pot got to a certain point, and plumb it into my intake?
600degF is much, much less than 1500 deg, and with the cooling, heat transfer properties of water, it seems as if this would be a nice way to cool.
I'm bored.

1500 deg is about the temp of exhaust gasses. Your intake is about 130 or so after the intercooler (depending on boost, turbo, ambient temp and efficiency of the IC, etc...).
BTW i don't have my steam tables handy but i think steam is 212 deg at atmospheric pressure.

Good point. I'll shut up.
Next point of research. Methanol vs. Ethanol injection. I believe that corn alcohol gas pumps (gasohol) will start popping up here in the next couple of years. I believe that there's a new EPA mandate.

i was watching the discovery channel about this guy who has 4000hp or somewhere high horsepower area in a 91 integra. what he does is has two tanks in his car one is full with Methanol and the other is full with ethanol. He stated that one of the two had a very good burn rate at low rpms and the other burns better at high rpms. So they both have there benefits just what do you want high end or low end.

I guess it depends on what I'm doing. Or where I reckon I lack power.
When I get the car situated and tuned, I think I'll know better what I want. I'm just researching now.
