P&P on Oahu

Anyone do this well on the island or do we get to ship it to the mainland?

What are you porting and polishing? If it's heads, then I'd recommend you pay for someone that specializes in Subaru heads.

If it's something like the turbo, then they should be good enough if they do that kind of work.

I didn't realize they were still open, but yeah Sniders did 2 of my blocks and rebuilt several heads for me, but they didn't "port" them.

Trying to plan out a full P&P for turbo, heads, intake ect... Looking to get the most out of my 2.0, specifically reducing spool time on my vf39.

Without flowbench numbers, porting the intake and heads can be a hit or miss, as you can easily lose velocity in the chamber but gain overall flow. If the machine shop/vendor doesn't provide flow bench data, then you really won't know if it's an improvement. And even with the data, they can deceive you by providing only numbers at peak lift.
The turbo however is pretty hard to screw up and I'm sure they could do it if they do that kind of thing.

Snyders does good machine work and has a lot of experience building stout short blocks etc..but I'm sure they'll even tell you to take the head to an expert.

After looking into the numbers of doing the heads and internals I think I might just stick with a grimspeed turbo and intake job but who knows

I completely agree with almost this entire post, but don't have personal experience with Snyders. I would comment that I've seen more than a few complain that a too agressive pnp to the turbo can cause issues.

Yeah, and the guys at Grimmspeed really put up some competetive numbers as far as prices go. Add on the fact that this is ALL THEY DO and they are VERY good at it, not to mention that they will provide you with a core ( in the case of a tgv or manifold pnp ) while yours is getting done.
