Opinion on dented rim..

Well, I either made a semi good buy, or the stupidest buy in my life. I've acquired a set of Prodrive P1 rims for dirt-cheap. I couldn't pass this by as Prodrives are the rims I really want!

However, one rim has this:

If you cant make it out, there's a dent on the lip of one of the rims. My question is, is this bigger then it looks? Is it fixable? I know of a couple of wheel repair shops, will they fix something like this? Thanks in advance, I know I probably wasted my money, but like I said, I couldnt pass it up.

The best thing you can do is to take it to one of the repair shops that you mentioned and have them take a look at it. They'll most likely be able to tell you if it can be fixed or not. Best of luck to you.

Since they are the wheels you want I hope everything works out. I would take them to a shop.

However since Prodrive US is gone and Prodrive Europe is still working out shipping to the US (as of a month ago) I am sure you will find someone who wants the other three.
If you do end up selling individually I may want one, my front drivers side P1 is messed up from hitting the tire on H1.

Good Luck!

That rim doesnt look as bad as one of my BBS's were when i slammed into a curb going about 20 mph (it was late at night on an unlit street), it was still driveable after that, as long as suspension parts on your car arent bent, you should be fine with a dented rim. If you want to know how badly dented my rim was, ask Shaggy, he bought my stock rims.

whatever you do dont try to bang it back into place with anything (i.e. hammer etc.) i had rims that were bent and it looked like someone tried to hit the lip with a hammer to put it back in to place and the wheel shop said they couldnt fix it.

Let a wheel shop have a look at it. I've seen worse rims reconditioned back to life before
