hey guys i was jus wondering can u put an sti motor in an o2 wrx is it possible? what more extra stuff do u need?

are you trying to swap the motor or tranny? your title says trans but your post says engine. either way the sky is the limit with Subaru's. If you haven't heard the term Subaru's are like legos than you should really research this topic. check out RS25.com for all you swap questions.

Short answer Yes it is possible. Subarus fit together like legos for the most part. Doing it correctly is another story.

Long answer You can put any ej series motor and transmission combination into your car as a direct bolt in. You can also do hybrids such as an sti shortblock with wrx heads etc. I only know mainland shops. I think for you, a better question could be formed if we knew your end goal. The easiest most cost efficient swap for you is an 04 sti swap. The lug pattern is the same. You can keep your brakes, and overall less parts to purchase.
