Newest Update. I think you'd like to see.
I posted this on rspeed.org and unysoc.org, but I wanted to share it with those of you who don't surf rspeed.

Well it's official. I'm getting the dough to fix my tranny. Driving to Jersey Saturday morning. I have the tranny tied down in the volvo right now. I love the volvo. It has big *** ancoring points in the trunk and the trunk is so big I can put the seats up with the tranny in there ... FACING FRONT TO BACK= LONG WAYS.
Here's what I'm getting:
STi 5MT gears (not the RA- RA is too damn short) These gears are a little longer legged than mine with smaller jumps in between. My first gear will be good for more than 23 MPH now at redline. However, since I'm staying with the 4.11's and not switching over to 3.9's they'll be a little shorter and more fun than the WRX gears. So it's win win for me.

Cusco Rear Biased Center Differential. A little spendy, but 65rear/35front all the time sounds pretty damn cool. Of course my gas mileage will suffer, but if that was my concern I wouldn't have turbo'd the ****. My snowy weather handling will be poor too, but I don't care. I'm going to set this thing up for AutoX and Tarmac use. Not dirt use. Besides, I hate the Subaru "Slip Based" differentials. I believe they are responsible for all the spinouts that STi owners are experiencing. I think Byron will back me on that one.

Other mods will include:
New wheels- I have a friend who's going to sell me some Rota's real cheap.

New Clutch- I have an STi "Heavy Road Disc" with a Clutchnet Pressure plate.

Coupled to my lightened EXedy flywheel this should be pretty nice. Hopefully grippy enough for my power.
New Rear Diff- The diff I have is a big *****. It doesn't act very "limited slip" even though it's supposed to. I don't know if they are adjustable. If they are I'm going to tighten it up and put better fluid in. If not
new rear diff too!
New Intercooler???
Well maybe. I'm trying to figure out what the hell I want to do. I'm so cheap. I just can't see paying 1800+ for an APS FMIC from Australia. However, it may be the way I go. Air/Water sounds kinda cool. The temps are more consistent, but they are consistently higher than a air/air. In otherwords, temps won't get as low as an air/air, but they won't get as high either. Which actually makes tuning the car a lot easier.
Touch Screen? Oh hell yeah. Paid for it today. An Eight inch touch screen for my engine management system. It's going in the dash on top in a custom pod that I'm making. Regardless of what people say about "Home made stuff" it's going to look nice. You'll see. I'm going to put a gauge pod on the side of it for my EGT and maybe another for my oil pressure. Screen is in shipment as we speak. Pods and screen facia are already in the works.

New springs. It's time to RE-lower the suby, but I'm going to make it even lower. So I'm getting new springs. Nuff said. In shipment as we speak.

if you go to www.rspeed.org you can look under RoS Members and see all of our cars. Mine included.

And they're not plans. They are in the works as we speak. I delivered my tranny to Rallispec today. Springs, screen, diffs, gears, intercooler, clutch etc are all already paid for.
