NEED some quick opinions on these tires

SO being the poor bastard thats coming up in this world the Bridgestone RE-11 for sale on CL are a real option for me. I have some wrx rims lying around for these. I know they arent slicks but will the 205/45/16 of this tire handle itself in AutoX? I know wider would be better but I am just looking for a set to use for that only so I dont have to worry about the ones on my car for DD being worn out from AutoX. I wish they were wider but guy selling for cheap. As long as there arent any holes or leaks Imma jump on these. Any objections or opinions?

They are too short for a DD. For auto-x only, they are fine.

that is more of a honda size.. but for our autox, it would be great. you'd probably lower the gear ratio enough that you can hit the top of 2nd. re-11's are great tires, they feel like used hoosiers. just put those on a spare set of wheels and change it at the track.

cool sounds good..... for now. Only thing I am concerned about is sidewall being a little big but according to the description of those tires they have super special anti-rolly sidewally technology. This just seems like a better choice over my 18" ecstas. Being able to get further into second would be nice cory. I try to stay 1st with what I have now because I cant get far enough into second to do any good.....even though i suck

re11s have a super stiff sidewall, a 205/45 is actually extremely small... probably less than what you're running now. 92.25mm compared to a normal 225/45/17 which is 101.25mm.

You would lower your rotational mass by a lot using those tires and stock WRX rims, that alone would be worth it. I say do it!

Do it! I'm running 205/45/16 RE01Rs on my RS Goldies. Gearing is a little better than usual. Feelsgoodman.

Got em! Now to mount, balance, and maybe a alignment back to 0 so I can actually use my camber plates for once in my life
