I'm sorry, but I have to step in on this. I have deja vu every time a new wrx model comes out since my dad bought his GC8 back in 1998. From the bug eye to the peanut eye to the plow nose to the current design. And the comments were always the same 'I hope this isn't what it really is, because it looks awful'. I think the biggest was from the GC8 to GDA. There was such a stink about how the GC8 was so much better and the new lights looked awful and now it's probably the best selling subaru ever. Sure having a WRX for the first time in the states bumped that a bunch but the commentary at the time was the same. My point being, we don't buy these cars because of how they look. We never have. That symmetrical layout boxer engine AWD standard is what makes a subaru a subaru, not some cheap plastic bumpers. If you drive a subaru for what it's made for, who cares how it looks? This coming from an owner of a 2002 legacy station wagon. You either love it or you don't.

TL;DR - Subaru = symmetrical AWD turbo and they're all ugly.

I don't think it looks bad. IM exited to see what the STi will look like, the thing Im most exited about is the new FA motor, I wont miss the EJ25 (the reason I drive a evo).

its already been announced that the wrx and sti are not going to be based off the impreza lineup. Subaru needed to take the impreza and the wrx/sti in different directions to match up with other auto makers. The wrx/sti are probably going to look friggin amazing because as long and subaru has at least 1 car that can pull off 35+mpg then the rest can be what ever hp gas guzzling beast they want, thus impreza= small economy car and wrx/sti= 300+hp crazy expensive, laugh in non production evo face, ******* to change spark plugs beasts!

I agree. IMHO I believe the car is either a new legacy or an impreza. From what I have read the 14 WRX/STI will be based on the BRZ chassis, not the impreza platform. The new WRX/STI is supposed to be a 3 door or 5 door hatch. But this is all rumors that I have read online.
