Need some help. SOS SOS

I was working on getting my lightweight crank pulley on and when I crawled under the car to unplug the connector for the radiator, I noticed that there was a ton of oil covering the underside of the engine. I looked at the oil pan bolt and it was intact. I also checked the oil filter and that was good...although it was covered in oil from something else. Then I looked in front of the oil pan. There is a spot thats missing a bolt. I have no idea what that bolt is for. Can any of the suby gurus help me out? Its located in front of the oil pan towards the front of the car. I checked my oil level, and its dead center. Im puzzled. I wish I had a suby manual.

BTW...I still couldn't get the dang crank pulley off. I spent 2 hrs out there and it got too dark to work. If someone could assist me with that too, I would be willing to repay them with some beers.

Is it missing from the oil pan (8mm bolt)?

Use a three ft. pipe as a breaker bar.

I tried using a breaker bar but I ended destroying two socket wrenches.

I have an idea what it may be. Im starting to feel really stupid. Could someone tell me where the external transmission filter is located? Thanks

Tuan

The bolt is probably from your oil pan. Replace it ASAP. As far as getting your pulley off. Use your breaker bar and jack handle. Make sure your wheels are planted on the ground to eliminate the crank from turning over. It's relatively easy to do w/ the right leverage. It took me 30 mins to do this job.
