Hey Bob,
yeah, as it was said on NASIOC...your problem will mostly likely go away by reflashing your AP with the STG2 map...
you need to go to the Cobb site and download the Stg2 basemap and real time maps for your year WRX.
You will find a base map, HWG (high waste gate), LWG, valet, anti-theft, etc.
Make sure you download for your particular car and for 91Octane...do not use the california or 93 oct maps.
Now you have to go through the procedure of taking off the basemap by plugging the green connectors under the dash, connecting the AP to your car...and following the instructions to remove the base map from the ECU...
Once this is done, you can remove the maps off the AP by connecting it to your computer using the serial cable and using the Cobb Map Manager software...remove them, save them somewhere, upload your new maps into your AP, then install the new Stage2 base map on your ECU...once again following the instructions to install the basemap...should take from 10min - 30min...
Don' forget to unplug the green connectors after you flash in the basemap!!!
Once your new Stg2 base map is installed, you can flash in your real time maps as usual...if you are having a difficult time hitting your target boost still, you can use the HWG map...

Hey Brent,
Ok...I guess going to Stage 2 is the answer. I didn't think that changing out the uppipe would make a lot of difference in the driveability of the car. I'll take your advice and download the map you described then proceed to install the map. Like I said, I've been running a DP and Borla for the longest time and no problems... was I lucky! Thanks again.

Give it a shot...
yeah, you should have been at stage 2 a while back with your dp/catback and filter...
You'll notice your boost comes on faster with the Stage 2...although, the downloadable Cobb maps are very conservative...
If you were to buy an over the counter protune map for your car from PDXtuning.com for example...you will find even greater joy...not only will your boost come on faster than the ordinary stage two maps...you will hold the boost longer throughout your powerband...several of us here are true believers in the PDX maps we received.
