Sorry, it doesn't work that way. You need to use the original AP.

it can work that way. you overwrite, marry, then unmarry. takes a long time though. and someone has to be willing to lend one.

An unmarried accessport v2 with version 1.2.4 or later firmware can be used to revert a married ecu to stock. Maps on borrowed AP will be saved. The AP will be uninstalled from donor vehicle. The now unmarried accessport will overwrite previous cobb calibrations when installed (it even has a little pop-up that tells you that it is doing so). Then it can be uninstalled leaving the stock map on the ecu, allowing my PC to communicate with the ecu.

The borrowed AP will then be remarried to donor car and map reflashed.

Thus, making it possible to use an accessport to unmarry an ecu without the originally utilized accessport.

this is what i need to do for my next tune. alot of people are scared to lend me their AP. i explain it to them that same way and they still dont want to. i dont know why. doesnt hurt anything at all.

I'm not sure of the firmware edition on my Access Port, but you're more than welcome to borrow it. It was last used at the AMS Protune about two AutoX seasons ago.
