My STI Broken Into Very Suspicious
I parked my STI at work and set my alarm and walked away as usual Heard the chirp and door lock as I walked away. When I returned, found my glove box, center console and change box all open and contents taken.
All indications showed the alarm was not triggered on the car. I checked my Iphone for alerts and to see if my alarm was triggered and nothing showed the car being broken into. After driving home I checked all the parameters of the alarm and everything worked fine like normal.
Damn then I see this on my facebook.
Look at this video,

Sorry to hear that.
I've used spectrum analzers in the army. Not hard to scan the area your in to see what frequencies are in use ie when u press your remote. Once I know what frequency I can them use the same spectrum analyzer to transmit that frequency to trigger a receiver ie car alarm maybe worse your garage door opener.

accessport will no longer stay in my car. glove box = empty. center console = only pens a paper without personal info... maybe even add a kill switch and one of those widow/door alarms

Maybe time to just take out the fuse for the door locks. Inconvenience to use the keys again, but at least itll prevent them opening the doors again.

yea just lock your glove box. mostly anything manual would turn them away. they are only looking for a quick grab .
im sure this "box" is pretty much similar to your typical garage opener, but its scans for frequencies and all they do is just continously press the button until they walk across a car with auto door locks unlock.
