You gotta try Thelma's special man...it's the best...crispy pork belly with chopped tomatoes and onions in their sauce...eaten with the pork adobo omelet/fried rice...yeah, because it is in Waipahu and I live in Kaneohe, it is probably good...I only eat there like 5/6 times a year...

I always thought balut was made with chicken eggs until I saw the show...when I livec in Alaska...lots of my friends were Filipino...I heard but never saw balut...I think it was such a rare commodity in Kodiak, probably more prevalent in Anchorage, that it was one of the few items seldom shared...

 

i will definitely try the Thelma's special. your description made me hungry. as for balut, it wasn't really that bad once you taste it...it's actually good for you. like david zimmern said, cheers!
