My friends just won Redline Time Attack National Championship

In the Street AWD class.

Them:

Latest Results:

Points standings:

Finished fourth at this event but I think their points lead was enough to give them the national title...though it looks like they split it up East and West coast...either way they have more points. There's been some talk from the West Coast people that the East Coast cars can't compete with them which is why they probably split the coasts because Cali people are emo.

Anyways, word to them...one of them got food poisoning and I have no idea how he rode in a car from Ohio to California. If I were him I'd have told them to leave me at whatever motel they were at and pick me up on the way home.

I just got over food poisoning and was non-functional for a week.

Cool! I was actually talking to your friend's family while he was running his first timed session. We just happened to end up in the same seating area in the stands.

Tanner Foust was there too. He wasn't racing, but he showed up to check out the competition!

You know, I have been so busy I didn't even know the final round was last week. I guess Tony had his family come up then. He's really cool and always willing to give pointers. The car is pretty crazy for a street car.

I've run autox's with Tony in the CSCC, MVSCC and OVR when i lived in Dayton. He's a beast behind the wheel. If there isn't some formula type car with a good driver out, Tony would always post FTD in his wrx.

Sux I couldn't make it out to this event now that I reside in LA. Deployments suck :X

Normally they're pretty good about posting videos. They have GoPro so I would think they'd have done one.

Their website has the full story. Pretty interesting...didn't know they had a couple of problems not just the food poisoning. And the Evo that won the West had like double the power.

FYI - apparently some kind of nice sale on the current AST Coilover setup that TiC has put together for the current STi. Check they're website...they also have a deal for GD's too.
