The question you have to first ask yourself is, what do you plan to do with the car, after that, then we can help you determine what kind of parts to get

Anyone willing to give some tips let me know. Thanks!
Welcome. When an install day is posted, you should make an effort to drop by, that's the best way to learn. See you around!

I'd have to disagree. First, go get yourself some metric tools, they usually have some craftsman sales at sears every couple of months.

Holy crap warren, that's like $10k atleast in mods right there. Since he's new, I don't think he knows all those abbreviations that you posted up. The paint job will run you $4-5k alone. I'd say learn to drive stock, then when you are comfortable, mod according to your needs.

Really it makes little sense to throw money at the car only to change it out later on. Are you into the show thing, or plan to drive the car for enjoyment? If you wanna test your mettle, go ask around some SCCA guys, then you can race legally on a closed course, and practice driving skills.

In any event, just browse around, come introduce yourself, and see if someone will let you ride in their car or share some of their mod lists. There are plenty of great info here, you will learn a lot.

Get some tools and do your own oil and other misc. maintenance. Drive the **** out of the car at the SCCA Solo and mod from there.

Have fun...safely.

After five years of owning my car, engine-wise it is still stock. For two years, the only mod was a drop in HKS filter. The only power mod since has been a Zerosports intake pipe (bling) and an RSR cat-back. I still don't run a downpipe. So don't worry too much about the mods, they will come, just enjoy your car. The majority of my mods were done to my suspension, for now the power is adequate and reliable...but then it IS an STi

Really, 300hp is more than enough for a place like Hawaii, especially now that we dont have a track

Next autoX is in july. The stock WRX understeers like a ****. Learn what its like when your over the limit so you know what to expect. Don't want you thinking WRX handles great and try testing it without knowing the limits.
