Good question...But hold on he has all these promises I heard him on TV so they must be true. We're better off sticking with President Bush.

Just like anything I'm sure there are military persons that do like Kerry over Bush...Everyone has their opinion. My cousin is in Bahrain right now in and out of Iraq and he said alot of them question why they are there if there are no weapons now but that doesn't mean they would vote one way or the other. He just sees alot of people killed and questions what it is for.

I know no one in the military that likes Kerry, .... so that is a very good question Pat.

I know one or two misguided people. They seem to believe him when he says he will get us "out of the mess Bush got us into" He's full of isht. He's a spin-doctor, and I don't trust him any farther than I can throw my car. He is a politicians politician and he will not come through with any of the promises he's made.

I may not agree with el Busho on some things, but the guy stands by his moral compass. That's saying a lot about someone in public service.

Hmmm, let's see. I'm trying to picture what must've been the scenario, in my mind....

Which area of the beltway was he when he happened to be chit-chatting with a service person? At a gas station? At a gala fete? No. He was most likely at a family gathering or hanging around his 'Band of Brothers'. He was most likely NOT in nor around an area of operations in SWA. He was most likely NOT at a fundraiser on his behalf.

If he was in SWA, he would've most likely been in someplace such as Bahrain or Turkey or Qatar. What sorts of servicemembers do you think he'd encounter there?

If he was at one of his fundraisers, I tend to doubt he ran into any service members there. That's just based off of my half-knowledge about military personnel actively supporting candidates or parties. I don't know if my belief is true for all service members, but it is for commissioned officers, at least. I'd assume it applied to everyone.

So where was he rubbing elbows with the warriors of the nation.

I'll be honest, since he's not my CinC, I can speak freely. I don't like where he's coming fro and, at least with regards to those things that directly impact my life, I don't like what he's saying. As far as I can tell, everything he did in his life is noble, up until the point where he desecrated his awards (or his friend's, according to him). Did you know, at least it's my understanding, that he only spent 3 months in Vietnam? Wow, he must've been on the tip of the spear.

you know, I didn't read that article earlier, I just read the title in your link and knew it was bullsh*t.

but I just read it, ... and that sh*t pisses me off! wtf!? he's a fu(king moron! who wrote that article? Can somone write those stupid fu(ks and tell them how stupid they are for running that article?

His "tour" in the military was mearly a "check mark in a box" for his own agenda. It's just like some of these selfish asses that get picked as SOQ/SOY (Sailor of the Quarter/Year), ... some people are all about themselves, they want recognition for being "sh*t hot" when they're not, ... they just do some community service here, a college class there, be a part of some BS command commitee, and have a BS colateral duty. And on paper, they do look sh*t hot, but everyone who knows them, or that they work for/with knows the whole thing is pathetic, .... yet they still get put in for SOQ/SOY b/c "they did so much". Bull sh*t. In the mean time, I have to explain all of this to my guys and try to lift their spirits about the "system", ... trying to explain that even though that guy wasn't TAD or deployed somewhere actually doing work, or training, ... he "applied" himself and went to school, and took on "extra" duty, and that's why he gets ranked #1. I imagine that is how Kerry got to where he is today. what a putz.

it sucks,
I hate people like that. can you tell?

I've got nothing at all against anyone who wants to vote for him. Notice, just because I didn't discuss the current administration that my silence equals consent.

Sean, at least you and your Sailors can sleep at night. To me, that's most important.

Yes we're gonna miss ol' Gipper but not to spoil, he was a traditional conservative and one of his major campaign promsies was to cut spending on government, yet he drove our deficits to new highs w/ defense spending. However it was a necessary thing.
