Heh, I like this bit from the second honda-tec thread: "Sure its a nice car and somewhat cheap speed, but the WRX bandwagon is getting kinda crazy now adays."
As there weren't some 13 trillion Hondas buzzing around with phat wings and grapefruit-shooter mufflers and what-all. LOL

i really got a kick out of this quote:
"Meh, i like the new look of the STi but i'm not impressed with the way a subie handles. I'll stick with my honda"
which honduh out handles subies?

There are many cars that handle as well and better than the WRX even in it's price range and lower. The Focus SVT is one such car that handles quicker and sharper than the WRX. However, the feel is different as the WRX has more power and likes to power slide and rotates the rear nicely around the apex under power. The SVT is FWD but it's lighter and transitions much quicker than the SVT and has awesome braking. It lacks power. The RSX type S handles as well as the WRX. The steering input is quick and light.
Overall the WRX is a fantastic handling car, though it does understeer more than some FWD cars. The great thing about it is it's amazing AWD system and great power which pulls the car where it needs to go. It's not the lightest car out there either and that takes a toll on it's handling "feel".
The great thing about the WRX is the feel of the overall package. Yes, it understeers, but, you can snap the throttle shut as it starts to oversteer, which than transfers weight to the front giving the front more grip and lightenting the rear so that it starts to rotate. Then, back on the throttle to put the turbo power into the rear wheels causing that cool rotating drift. Fun, fun, fun.
The Civic Si, is a great handling car as well.
The guy who said the WRX doesn't handle well is an idiot however. He is simply wrong and has probably never driven one.

I cant wait for the first EVO or "dubya" to pull up to the R, four cylinders of naturally aspirated fury will be unleashed upon their heads
*************
Now, that's a good one.
I like the RSX a lot. But, even in R form it won't smoke the WRX or Evo from a standing start. Now, on the track.....well that's a different story.

how the hood comes up to the bumper it kinda looks like a mustang. and the scoop is a little extreme for such a little car, but the more i see it the more i will like it. just like when we got the wrx i thought the front was really ugly but i like it now. i just need some time to let it grow on me and im sure i will like it.
I like the hood scoop but I think the rear wing is extreme. My wife asked me where I was going to park this car. I am like"whaaaaaa?" and she tells me straight face that the STI will not fit in the garage with a wing that big. That really cracked me up.
