should pitch in and get this to convert our sti's into rwd so we can get some dyno time in. then remove it revert back to awd and pass it on to the next guy for some dyno time.

how accurate is this thing- let's say for people that do their own tuning? once they go back to AWD? just a thought- it's a very tempting thing to consider- i'd hate to dissappoint myself though

I don't think you're missing something. It would certainly be worth a phone call.
Because of your post, I emailed a company in AU who used to offer something similar. They are called ChipTorque. If they respond I'll post back up.

The 2WD WRX adaptor fits as follows. You need to remove the tail shaft from the vehicle. Remove the rear housing from the gear box and remove centre diff. Replace the centre diff with the 2WD adaptor and refit rear housing to the gear box. Refit the tailshaft. You will also need to drain the oil from the gear box and refill when finished. The vehicle is now in two wheel drive at the rear wheels. The 2WD adaptor is only designed for dyno use only and not for any street driving. If you have any further questions let me know.
Thanks

Maybe the one you found is a little easier to work with....but I kinda doubt it.
Looks like there is a good business opportunity for someone to have a awd dyno in hawaii. Heading there next year to visit my wifes grandfather. Are cars able to go from island to island via a ferry or transport carrier pretty cheap?
