Just made a couple of runs at HRP last night after the debacle I had on the freeway a week or so ago when my hoses popped off the turbo/intercooler. It looks like my car is still okay afterall! Ran 12.74 @ 106.7mph, with a pump gas tune (93 octane map)... Also, I gotta figure out some things to do to be competitive next month in the Toyota Nationals event at HRP! Any suggestions?
How about some NOS? Nah maybe some suspension tuning? How about a bucket of ice water to mist over the IC? Hell I dunno.
Hey thank goodness your car is fine...just some better clamps was all ya needed huh?
YAY!

OK, ...sounds good v-rod! I do need to lose some weight, my car and myself! I think I can drop like 20lbs in a month, and lose ?? lbs with a carbon fiber trunk (no wing)...$450 locally? How much do the stock STi BBS wheels weigh? I hear it weighs like 21lbs...

lol, i had that happen to me a week ago....a few days after swapping to a vf-34. i decided to boost it thru the H3 tunnel. to my suprize my Y-pipe flew off!
at first i thought my bov was stuck open...but after i popped the hood i seen that ugly stock Y-pipe all scrunched up!... so basically, 2hrs after i stopped and armed with only a needle nose plier, a small phillips head screw driver, and a stick i managed to get that PITA Y-pipe back on and went on my way and the car was fine....needless to say i'll be switching to silicone hoses soon
anyways, glad your car fine too..
