just a heads up
i hardly doubt any i clubbers park here but i just thought i would share this with all of you. if any of you frequent the chart house or the hawaii prince hotel on holomoana st. (it runs parallel/perpendicular to ala moana depending on where you coming from) do not park in the stalls without the meter, those parkings are parking by permit only and if you can read this then you should have no problem reading the signs around the area that tell you that. well anyway i see people park there all the time and the harbor patrol guy is a d*** even if you stop on the side of the road there he issues tickets saying that you are blocking the roadway. but anyway i was at work and seen two tow trucks pull up to tow the cars out of the permit parking stalls one of which said H****** (name censored but is a place name) TOWING, i thought to myself there is no way they are going to tow this car to the north shore so a friend went up to the driver and asked where he was towing the car to and yes the car was taken to the north shore. on another occasion i seen this guy come out when his car was already hooked up, the guy offered to pay the fee for the driver to drop the car instead they told the guy to pick the car up from the tow yard. my question to you is does anyone think this harbor patrol guy is getting kickbacks from the tow truck drivers?
It is possible. Towing companies have their drivers work off commission, so i wouldn't doubt it. I used to work in town, and IMMEDIATELY after 2am, the tow truck guys are waiting in the parking lots till the clock hits 2am. Just read the signs and ask if your car was towed on all 4 wheels, or did they hook it up on 2. They will charge more if they towed it on 4, but atleast your tranny will still be happy.

people pay money for the reserved spots and people park there knowing their car could get towed. the harbor patrol isn't getting kickbacks, they are doing their job.
