Hi Tech, mainland I'd go with Swaintech, only because the other major coater "lost" my manifold when I wanted it coated. I'd only coat the outside. I wouldn't want flakes going into my engine.

However, since your uppipe has a flex section I wouldn't coat the inside (like San suggests) as the flex could cause flaking of any internal coating.
Note: Hi Tech is in Campbell Industrial Park just of the main road going it. They're listed in the phone book.

Hey Pat,
I have the same concerns regarding coating internal parts. At this point I really haven't formed an opinion on them for a daily driven car. I've had a lot of exhaust parts coated and have always sent them to the mainland. Hi Tech does a good job powder coating but for ceramic coating I send stuff to Performance Coatings (http://www.performancecoatings.com), I have also used Jet-Hot a bunch of times but have been very pleased with the price, quality and service of PC.
edit: I use a combo of exhaust wrap and ceramic coatings to keep the heat in the pipes. Exhaust wrap alone can contribute to corrosion of parts so the ceramic coating serves a dual purpose of insulating and protecting the metal. There is a risk with internal coatings on any pre-turbo part. Failure of the coating would send pieces which could damage the turbo (turbine side. the intake side and motor should be safe) Any pre-turbo coating had better be good to 2000+ degrees. FWIW my uppipe is coated inside and out w/ the 2000+ deg black satin coating from Performance Coatings.

Dean, excellent website and thanks for stating your experiences.
Since I have no experience, I'm probably going to do as you've done.

I know many folks' online personas better than I know them personally.
