dayam, 03 evo for 20k?? 05 around 27k?!!! too bad I'm broke...I was trying to get the EVO the first time around but got juped in getting the WRX I have now from mitsubishi pearl city....for the record, I was clueless on what I was getting into...oh well, live and learn...
i like Evo's...i would get one if i could afford it, and drive it the way it's suppose to be driven...there's a bunch of Evo's on this Island, and most of them do only the 1/4... and i've seen 1 or 2 at auto x.....no offense...
btw, i wish we had that kind of track here and space to do all that...

I wonder how it would handle on the auto-x ? After watching the video comparison's between the sti , evo and audi . It seems like the evo pulls out of turns easier . Is it true that the evo's trans isn't to dependable ? I know a couple of guy's that own evo's have worn out their clutches after a few thousand miles . One positive I like about the evo is it's iron block .

X you need to come on schofield there is a few 9's running around there.
like Rudy metioned earlier most evo owners drag versus auto x and with that being said its no wonder why some peoples cluthes go out prematurely.

Car Info: STi (cornering, accelerating and braking hard).
I got to drive an Evo 8 during an SCCA event (fun-runs). The car was mostly stock.
I recall getting a lot of understeer at corner entry, but it was more neutral at exit. The car transitioned well and the steering was excellent.
You can get an STi to handle that way. I think with my current suspension and alignment, it is very close to Evo handling. In terms of engine power, the STi has more low end torque and it's boost comes on sooner than the Evo in SCCA type events.
I would like to have both an STi and a Evo (probably RS). I'd turn the Evo into a stripped and gutted E Modified race car complete with roll cage and one race seat on Hoosier racing slicks probably on Kinesis 17x10 rims. The Subie would be my daily driver.

Look, I know you love Subarus, because they are excellent cars, but please at least be accurate in your statements.
