...go what an NHRA event in person! few things these days leave me in awe but today did. top fuel dragsters making 6000 hp going down the track will literally make your insides hurt. i was about 100 feet from the track when the top fuel dragsters went by and my eyes could not keep the cars focused due to the concusion and the fumes the engines create.

it is a fan friendly motorsport were you can go into the pits and watch the teams tear down a motor and put it back together in an hour plus talk to the drivers and crew. i have a new found respect for the people who drive alcohol funny cars and top fuel dragsters. they are sick!

the show comes back to town in april and i will most definitely go again!

 

Yep been to an nhra event in colorado... DAMN those top fuel cars running at night is an awesome sight.

 

Went to The Strip for it's inaugural event years back. Awesome!

I used to go to the NorthWest Nationals qualification and Ed you are not kidding the sound is so loud it is unreal. We were in the pits and the fired up a funny car and OH my GOd that methenal is bad stuff I caught a wiff and man my eyes were on fire and my throat was also burning best time of my life..
