I'm at home now too. Left for work 'bout 6:30 or so, but the ponding was so bad that I decided to turn around at Kahana Bay when I saw tree branches floating across the road. Punaluu was getting pretty hairy to as the the water level was pushing up towards half way up the door, they shut the road down as I passed. The extra height of the 4runner does help, I don't think my lowered STi would have been able to do it. Unfortunately they closed down the road in both directions in Hauula because they thought one of the bridges was compromised. After sitting there for over two and a half hours, they finally let us pass.

Damn, this rain is unreal! Left the house about quarter to 5 this morning to take the wifey to work. Couldn't let her catch the ferry in this weather. Took us about 40 minutes to get from Ewa Beach, through Kapolei to Pearl Harbor via the Zipper Lane. Ponding was pretty bad on the freeway & I could barely see the cars that were in front of me. Thanks to Rain-X & my polorized shades, we made it there okay. Drove back home going about 35-40 mph on the H-1. There were a couple of clowns that decided to speed in the pouring rain. One of em quickly changed their mind when they hydroplaned a bit (I bet he messed himself ).When I got home, my Suby had tree branches all over it. No damage though (thank God). I'm glad my van is parked in the Garage.

Hope everyone gets around safely today.

wow....sounds like going to town is crazy! here in mililani is not flooded at all....thank goodness we're in a bit higher level...but i did see a big bulk branch of a tree that fell on top of a car though..i think it was a bmw on the side of the road.... sucks for that guy.... i really hope that it'll stop raining soon or at least by tomorrow....can't be travelling around with my 2 kids like this...when i dropped off my son this morning to school, it was pouring hard with heavy winds...and had to obviously take my daughter with me too... and as we all know, no parking in the school..gotta park on the road side....people in their cars were looking at me staring and probably thinking: this lady is nuts to be carrying her child in this rain! oh well.... so now, i gotta deal with that again....when i have to go pick up my son...gggrrr! this rain is irking!

Wussies!! I woke up late (power outage, alarm no worky), left the house about 8am. Traffic lights out, i was looking for an open atm. Found every store from my house to pali was w/o power. I had to autoslolom 2 logs before hitting pali. Then the fun begins driving to downtown. Good thing i was in the office today, instead of being outside. I planned it good.
Oh yeah, K-town is flooded.

January the hillside our house is built on saturated, and soaked through the foundation into the downstairs room and garage. Last week the hot water heater over-pressurized. Luckily the safety valve tripped. Unfortunately, the retard that built the house, put the water heater uphill from the house, so the downstairs room and garage are flooded....again.

Maui has been rainy all day. I'm in the Ridgeline today. The extra clearance helps. I was bombing through puddles during lunch fun stuff. There was so much splash that it looked like boat wake spraying the sides. Fun...fun.

Our Ridgeline is our foul weather vehicle.

I took the bottom pipe off of my Cold air intake this morning before I left for work, thank god. Then I drove by a school and accidentally got everyone on the sidewalk wet from a puddle. I felt kinda bad, and then lol'd. I diddnt do it on purpose the guys coming the other way were in my lane! I got dirty looks from the people who diddnt get hit while I was driving by. ><
