Same thing as many other car movies...the producers cut a deal with a car maker to provide the movie cars in return for advertising (product placement). I doubt it'd have been feasible to make these movies without this kind of backing (its like 10-20 cars for each "hero car").

I wasn't surprised just amused that Bumble-Bee is not a VW Bug...kind of makes no point in having him out there...should've used "Hot Rod" as the new Camaro.

the originals were changed because they could not secure the rights to use a Volkswagon Bug or a Porsche 935 because Volkswagon did not want to allow use of their vehicles as articles of war. There was a huge discussion about this when the movie was first announced and people found out that BumbleBee was going to be a Camaro and not a Bug.

Chevy stepped up and paid monies to advertise their warez, but they were not exclusive since there were Ford vehicles in the movie as well.

Hmmm...I think Megan Fox is well beyond Shia's level of "game". It's like a total mis-match in hotness levels.

doesn't matter he still had to practice with her to show chemistry. I would be using every oppertunity to at least grab her *** and maybe get her in bed before finishing the film

She my new stalk-a-***** target

Oh well, I thought it'll be cool to have a Scubby autobot (like the toy I have)... maybe in the sequel.

Once I heard Bay was doing the film I threw out all my expectations that it was going to be anywhere near the original. We did get all the explosions I was hoping for though.

I was sad to see Jazz get torn in half. Why they gotta kill the black robot? Damn white man and his cracka-*** ways!

...seeing Optimus Prime stab the dude through the head with his sword was pretty sweet though.

Speaking of fight scenes - what's up with directors having to make stuff all crazy 1,000mph shaky style so you can't see anything? I KNOW it's a fight. You don't have to speed it up to make it more intense.

The little boombox spy dude was rad.

Loved it. I'll probably catch it again with my hetero life partner on $1 hotdog day before it vanishes from the big screen.
