I work on Fridays and Saturdays. I guess it will be a while until I see what my car can do.

I did get to sample a little. I'm using an Ecutek mapped for PE650 injectors and a PE1820 turbo as a base map. The mods are not what I have, but at least I can boost.:banana:

btw, it PULLS like a ****! :banana: Now all I have to do, is figure out how to tune the Xede. Or, get on Shiv to send me those maps.

And Andrew, thanks again for helping me test my car. Have your car tuned and I'm sure the outcome will be different. Your car has a lot of potential.

 

No laws were broken (sorta) while testing. And definately no traffic weaving, just short "test" bursts.

Dude, Haven't you been waiting on those maps for a long time!!???? I thought they told you they were going to send them a while back??

 

I'd get destroyed. Boost is non existant in 1st gear; 2nd gear is just as bad. Also, I'm not in the same legue as you guys; my driving skill still sux.

 

I just called them before class. They told me to e-mail them because Shiv is looking through his e-mails and that he will respond. :banana: I also explaind that we have track day tomorrow. See you guys there.

 

hey chris, did your car detonate at all? mines was diong it all night, i realized that with more people in the car, my car tends to detonate a lot more at higher RPM's. but i was surprised your car didn't tear me to shreds that nite, but i understand that your car is not using the proper map yet.... yes i need some tuning, boy was it scary the last time i punched it and my car just died out..

 

No my car didn't det. At least I think it didn't; I couldn't hear because my car is loud. I watched my gauges and let off when my egt hit 1500 and when my boost hit 18psi.

Your car is fast. Get it tuned and I'm sure I'd be seeing your taillights.

When we both have our cars tuned, lets take it to the tracks where it can be legit. I don't consider short "test" bursts a race. As far as that night goes, it was just a test to see where we both stand and what we need to do. It was never a race.

Better watch out Andrew. Detonation=bad. Good observation about having more people in your car causing det. More weight will result in more of a load on the motor. We should hook up sometime and hopefully between the two of us rookies we can come up with a decent map.

 

Okay, I didn't receive the maps. I guess this is my opprotunity to learn how to tune.

Hey, I should be having mucho time off here in the next couple of months. I would really like to do some tuning runs with y'all. Chris, I don't know much about the Xede itself, but the concept shouldn't be too different from the UTEC, I'd imagine.

I've got Andy's Ph#. Maybe we can make plans for around T-giving and X-mas.
