oceanic cable (time warner) has fast high speed internet. pricey though. dsl from hawaiian telcom is usualyl cheaper and could be as fast, but depends on how far you are from their stations. and thats it... its a monopoly here, you pay an arm and a leg for services here. :|

Good info thanks guys. So any one on Hickam, any thoughts? I can't pull up the Oceanic price page on my phone does it differ that much? I think all I had was the 12MBps in Phoenix and that was just fine, so ill probly stay in that range, anyone have the 15?

Not in Hawaii, but here in the states, I have 4G LTE connection from my house, and i use FoxFi to use as a hotspot. Much faster than my home internet.

there are actually a number of providers here but as stated OTW and HT are the two biggest and cheapest. first thing you should do is figure out the address you want the service installed, then call both and see who offers the best rate. out of the box they may seem comparable but OTW's rates usually go up after the first year. HT's rates are good for life. if you can't get over 7MB with HT then OTW might be your best bet but again it's not dedicated like HT so your speeds will fluctuate. GL and no matter who you choose make sure you are happy and if you're not, say something until you are. the customer always comes first.
