I heard my grandma scream this morning, so in a state of panic, I rush to the living room to find out whats going on and this thing fell from the ceiling onto my back. Alright, I can deal with spiders....But not when there this big:

(Fricken Wolf Spider was huge!!!! This picture was not taken by me...But the size was exactly the same, about the size of my hand stretch out, maybe slightly bigger)



As soon as the thing landed on my back, I went through every hip hop dance move in super fast forward....The pop lock and drop it, soja boy, cupid shuffle, I did everything to get this spider off my back before it bit me. Finaly it desided to jump off me. The dam thing was so big I grabbed the nearest object (a baseball bat) and started swinging full force like Alex Rodriguez on steroids . But, because of my excessive use of force trying to kill the bastard , I now have to rent a shampoo machine to get rid of the stain I left behind in the carpet...

I seen afew wolf spiders in my days, but this one takes the cake. Has anyone else encounter these pest in there homes? And if so, is there something I can do to prevent another one from visiting my family again? Thanks....

yeah.... 8" spider = scream like a little girl. the worst i seen was a 8" centipede, holy CRAP that was scary. it even moves creepy...

 

Haha We had a cane spider in the house last month it was the size of a dinner plate.

seen that pic a few to many times. see them in every wildlife brief in kuwait.

 

As if there's not enough to worry about for a soldier in the Middle East or Afghanistan, there's creepy critters like that, probably full of lethal venom.

 

the hair on my neck just came up when i looked at this thread.
i killed one when i was young and what i would do is grab the leg and squeeze where it was torn off and you can see the leg kick. made my sister cry. lol
