how is it he said she said when there was at least one witness? if someone wrote down the plate # then somebody saw it happen. i mean there is gonna be damage on their car, your car looks like it has their paint on it or at least vice versa. in any case you should definately not have to pay anything. definately hpd guys who know more please help him out. i have also been hit in a parking lot and had to pay and it really bites. just my $.02. that sucks, since they fled the scene of the accident shouldnt that constitute as a hit and run? in cali, if someone flees the scene they are automatically at fault. so file the police report and call your insurance.


side note: is this the most poorly written thread ever? i had to re read some of the responses to figure out what is being said.

werd, talk about 'hooked on phonics didnt work for me'

 

my mom just went through a hit and run last month. she filed a report with the police with a witness that saw it happend with the license plate number. she also contacted her insurace (liberty mutual) the cops ended up at the person's house telling the person about the hit and run. it was an 80 year old lady who didn't know she hit my mom's car. in the end the lady paid for everything out of her pocket to not involve insurance.

 

That's sucks Nevin... don't lose hope caz it will happen to any car you, me and all the people own a car. So yeah, I never park in femmes parking... I have alternatives... good luck.
