and I think you know this, but just for a basic, simple example, a 3.9 final drive would yeild a higher possible top speed than say 4.11, ... all else being =

I should tinker around more in GT3.

Without getting into a pissing match. This is comparing apples to oranges.

Granted a CVT tranmission vs a run off the mill 5spd are two totally different beasts, and I wouldnt take a CVT tranny to just any hole in the all place. But for a Subaru 5spd... What makes it unique? Nothing.

P.S. I can fix the mac, PC, and have worked on a few SGI's.

How do you call international, and how much does it cost?

Specialty tools & experience, just like anything else.

I may have fixed a Mac or two in my time, but I wouldn't expect the school district to come looking for me to take care of their large scale Mac labs because I've worked on one or two in my spare time when my real bread and butter is PC's...

Any tranny mechanic COULD work on the Subaru 5MT, just like any mechanic could do a valve lash job on a 4.0l Lexus quad-cam V8. I wouldn't trust the results on the first try though.

Thanks a bunch.

I'm still putting my options together; waiting for Adam from Z-1 to call me back. 1st wish is for a complete tranny. 2nd in priority will be for gearsets.
