what will you be doing with the car? Does thread wear mean anything to you? How hard do you drive your car? What's the wheel size that your running as far as width?

It depends what you're looking for. Is it grip? Tire tread life? Road noise?

In my experience, the grippier the tire, the noisier it is and the less the tire life.

The longer lasting the tire, generally less grip.

Define what you want and find the tire.

On my street tires, I want a quiet tire and don't care too much about grip. I run on Falken ST 115 for the street. Quiet even with the negative camber I run and the tread life is okay.

I love my BFGoodrich KDW2 tyres. They are about $130 each and I've owned about 5 sets. Has a lot of meat on them and well rated

Bridgestone Potenza Re-01R
I just put about 100 miles on these suckers, and just love em. Treadlife is 180-140, depending on size, but the grip is awesome rain or shine! They are on special 225/45/17 for $125, get em b4 they go back to $175 a piece.

^^^Helps you pick which size of tire to get.

You should try to get the widest you can fit without rubbing. Tire type is up to you...you can get the R-Compounds or the close to R-compounds but they'll die in a really quick time.

I, like a bunch of others on this forum, recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE750.
