Help! 04 stl misfiring at high rpm

Help! 04 stl misfiring at high rpm

My 04 sti is misfiring at high rpm. The only code I had for awhile is p0171. I dont know if i had that before this problem happened. Please help!

Been googling the symptoms. Could it possibly be my valves/springs?

Whats your vaccum reading on your boost gauge at idle? If its not -20ish you have a vac leak and that's whats causing the misfires most likely.

Read a thread on nasioc with a similar maybe same problem and they got it fixed by fixing the gap with the crank sensor

I had this same issue. Ended up being a fuel leak under my turbo inlet hose. I was getting missfire codes on all 4 cyl. Try mash your car and pull over as quick as you can, pop the hood and see if you smell fuel around that area

Thanks for th help. I changed my spark plugs and coil packs and misfire went away
