Yes, Airline tickets fluctuate day to day
you'll have to do some research on which Airline your going with, compare Different Airline prices, etc.
Just don't wait too long to buy them, for you have a year to plan!

ok yea thats true... I think we are going to try and buy our plane tickets in Dec.. but who knows haha.
Anyone have a specific airline they recommend? As of now im not sure if we are going to fly out of Sac or San Fran.
I think its usually a little cheaper out of SF but of course its about a 2hr drive from where we live.. Good thing tho is that my fiance has TONS of family that live down there and im sure if we needed a place to stay for a night we could get one pretty easy.

Just be sure not to fly FedEx.
Not too sure on what airlines flies out of Sac or SF. You can check out expedia, travelocity or orbitz and see which one gets you a better deal though.
As for your dive gear, there's quite a few places that rent out diving equipment here or you could just go on a dive tour.
Maui Dive Shop
Maui Activities:
Activity Zone - Maui
Maui Nightlife
These are just a few links that I found. I'm sure that there's a lot more that you could check out though.
Congrats on your engagement. I wish you both the best.
Aloha,
Shawn

Well lil update. We have our dates set on when we will be arriving, the wedding, and when we're leaving.
We will fly in Fri June 11th and leave the following Fri (Jun 18th)
Getting married in mckenna cove.
So down payment is put on the wedding. Still dont have flight/rental car/ or a place to stay.
My grand parents gave us their timeshare, but wont really know for a couple more month if we will be able to get that specific week (my grand parents dont think it should be a problem). But if push comes to shove and we dont get it they said they will pull the money they used for the timeshare and put it toward a Hotel/condo for us
So slowly but surley things have been getting done

If you do end up on Maui, don't waste your time going to Hana
Spend more time in Ka'anapali, that's where things schweeeeeeeeet
And if you want a big ol' plate of tasty local food, take a day to eat at Da Kitchen (preferably the Kahului branch)

So an update on things..
We have had our timeshare search going with RCI since Oct 09!! My grandparents said norm mid Jan is when they get their times. So being that its now Feb, we started to get worried that it might not come through..
So we started looking at package deals through Costco ect. And found one for two people; round trip flights (3hr lay-over), condo, and car rental for $2100. Not terrible beings that on most airlines the round trip flights alone were around $900 PER TICKET!
Then we were told that Alaska Airlines just started going to Maui so we checked them out. Could get a round trip flight (with only a 2hr lay-over) for about $600 per ticket. We broke it down and its like $10 more per ticket than the Costco one, but we save an hr of time with less of a lay-over.
So we figured that we would buy those plane tickets this up coming week, and wait to hear back from RCI. We figured that if push comes to shove, we could still get a Costo package - the flights and its still cheaper that way than just finding a condo online and making reservations.
If RCI didnt come through in time, we could change the location of where we would want to use the week as long as it was used by the end of July this year. So we figured, RCI doesnt find anything for us in Maui we would get the Costo one and then once we are back from Maui, use the RCI week and go to Disneyland
Well today, Valentines Day, I hear my phone ringing and its a strange number I didnt recognize. So I answered and its an automatic call from RCI saying that they found a match for our search!! I called them back and sure enough it works! We wanted to go Fri-Fri (June 11th-18th) and they found Sat-Sat (June 12th-19th) so thats not a huge deal for us!
So now we have our place to stay and should be buying our flight tickets this week! Then the only thing we have left would be to get a rental car..... unless someone just want to lend me their subaru for a week
