Does anyone here live on Maui??

I was wondering if the road to hana was currently open (or in good enough condition to drive)? We are thinking about making the drive from kihei to hana either Thurs or Fri June 17/18th.

Call one of the major hotels' concierges and ask them, they're usually pretty good about letting tourists know about road conditions to Hana and beyond
