Hello from NoWhere!!

Hey all,

Drvortex checking in. We now completed our 5th day of travel. We're doing well and seeing alot of cool stuff. Right now we are in a Best Western at Carlsbad Caverns in S. NM. We began our journey to Shreveport, LA on Monday. We passed through Las Vegas, went to Zion NP, Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Sunset Crater, White Sands NP. We are going to the caverns tomorrow and passing through Roswell. After that, we are doing a B-line to OK City then to Shreveport. The geology of the West is incredible. Hope all is well back in warm Hawaii. Yeah, it is chilly during our travels. Mainly in the 40s-50s. We hit some mixed rain/snow on the way to Grand Canyon. Other than that...kinda cloudy and showery.

BTW...I've only seen THREE impreza's during the entire journey since leaving California and all of them we're standard rex's. Where are the STi's??? Wow...incredible that I don't see our cars anywhere but Hawaii. Anyways, take care all and hope all is well. I'll provide an update in a few days. We get internet access here and there...not every hotel has it.

Peace out

Drv aka Jason

We're about ready to head out. At our next stop I will post some pics.

I won't be picking up my car until March 10 or so. It is headed to Dallas. I shipped the car out the Thurs before I left so it takes about 30 days to get there. We're driving my wife's Jeep Liberty. We are going to see some cool caverns then heading off to find Justin's (hangbots) cousin in Roswell. Enjoy the cruise on monday...wish I could have been there for it. Later for now.

How was Zion? I've heard good things....Death Valley is cool too, for the geology.

Keep an eye out for the Suby's. I met a guy outside Moab, UT with an Sti up on DMS 50's so he could get over the dirt to the good mtn biking...they're out there.

We MADE it!!!!

Well, we finally made it to Shreveport, LA. We arrived at 130am this morning so it was dark and couldn't see too much. We are staying in Quality Inn but what a mess. Found out that they have ROOM in military billeting. This is the first time that I couldn't even get a Non-availability slip. Also, they won't accept pets and nothing was open. We are staying in a the Inn on OUR funding until I can talk to my boss on Tues to possibly get an exception. I'm also going to check pet kennels to check out the prices (because we have to pay for pet hotel). So at the moment, not enjoying to the first few moments here. Today we begin our home hunting...we have to be aggressive with this because we want to get settled ASAP with the pets. It's been a long two days...driving from Southern NM (Carlsbad Caverns) to OK City then to Shreveport via Dallas. Alot of driving but all fun is over.

Hope all having fun or did have fun during the HRP Cruise. Hope it all works out and a new Raceway be developed in the near future. Take care and look behind you...my spirit will be on your bumper...LOL. Later.

Jason
