for good filipino food go to elenas in waipahu. they make one killa adobo fried rice. if you tourists really want some yummy hawaiian food like lau lau, kalua pig, pipikaula and stuff like that you gotta go highway inn in waipahu. spent fifty bucks there for four people this weekend but its worth it. they not stingy on the butterfish. and the pipikaula is like steak so its soft. so go to highway inn if you want REAL local style food.
