Hey guys... Got a question... Dunno if u locals can help but figured I'd try. I'm in Maui (kanapali - sp?) and my girl and I wanna do a luau... Any suggestions on a good one?

It's cool seeing so many scoobys out here... I was surprised there were imprezas available for rental! Unfortunately we rented with hertz and I'm "stuck" with a corvette ZHZ lol...

Thanks guys!

I've heard good things about the lu'au at the Royal Lahaina, that Maui locals like to go there instead of the others, but since I haven't experienced it firsthand, I can't say for sure if it's good or not (although I've stayed at the Royal Lahaina and can vouch for the hotel, services, and food there)

http://www.hawaiihotels.com/Main/Sub...D=103&Ref=RLR#

Then again, if it's your first time to a lu'au, a more touristy one might be more fun, right?

Damn, wish I were in Ka'anapali right now... hope you guys have a blast!

P.S. IMHO a day trip out to Hana is a waste of day. Although, taking the Road to Hana in a 'Vette might just be worth it for the drive itself... Just my 2 cents
P.P.S. If you want really good "local kine" food, go to Da Kitchen in Kahului and go for dessert at Tasaka Guri Guri afterwards (hint: pineapple flavor is really tasty and "strawberry" tastes like bubble-gum)

On your next visit, Definetly either Hit up BiG Island or Oahu.

Hi fellow I-clubbers. I'll be in oahu with my family next week so I figured this would be a good place to find some things to do. My girlfriend wants to swim with dolphins. Anyone know if theres a place to do that and how much? Maybe a good luau for thanksgiving and surfing? Were staying at the imperial resort. Any tips is appreciated. TIA.

Have a question... My job has a posting in Honolulu and I was wondering if it would be a smart decision. Not based on the job because it is a great job and they would pay for the move and all, but more on the atomosphere of Island living. I hear stories about outsiders getting hate and cost of living, but is it all true?

Thanks for the help.

I'll be heading to Oahu over memorial day weekend, and I need some tips on scouting a place. I plan to purpose to my girls friend during our trip.
Any nice or romantic resturants, that you guys would suggest?

The entire Island is beautiful, but any key spots where you would suggest?

Your help is very appreciated!

Links and directions would be helpful.

thank you.

Welcome to the 808 state, you surf?

Looks like the south side is the spot to be. Sandy's or Mok's if you body board.

If you want a quick laugh, just read some of the "custom" stickers that our locals put on their trucks. I dont know if the titan is still running the stickers but he had one that stated, "If the thing no fit, use spit!". LOL

You should also try check out the friday nite meets. The turnouts isnt as big as before but still a few HIIC members still attend.
