Question GT3 Amateur level

Is not so easy. Looks like I'm going to need a faster car than my Stage 2 Miata.

I think BoOm was telling me a fast way to make money in GT3. What was it?

I finally got my wife to buy me a PS2 and GT3, so now I have to get good at it again. I trounce on the competition in the beginner levels (except the GT Champiopnship... those cars are much better than mine), but in the amateur I start to go up against Impreza Rally cars and some other crazy isht. I can hold my own through the twisties, but they have SO MUCH MORE POWER THAN ME (kind of like the track day).

Any hints are appreciated.

Well, you have to past those and get to the 200 Lap race at the Super Speedway. Get a fast HIGH speed modified Supra then get a rubber band and bound the two analog sticks together. Depending on the situation you Supra will keep running the edges of the track and slowly go back to the middle during the straightaways. It worked for me ONCE out of 5-6 tries but towards the 100~ lap, it ran into the pit stop by itself. I would just use a high speed modified Supra to run that 200 laps manually. Generally its about 60 minutes or so. I won that F1 car that way. After that, it was very easy to win all the non drivetrain specific races with that car. Also try getting the Evo 5 or STI to run rally races and go for the Prototype Rally STI. Put everything on it and set suspension to your preferences. Best acceleration/handling balance next to the F1 car.

TAPE and RUBBER:

1. Just get a rubberband and a piece of tape. At the
countdown screen, tape down the accelerator button and
wrap the rubberband over the TWO analog sticks. Now just
leave it alone for one hour. You WILL crash into the wall
but that's okay. You will just 'ride the wall' to win.

ONLY RUBBER:

1. Go to Options and go to the Controller Setup Screen.

2. Go to the Accelerator and set the accelerator so that
if the RIGHT ANALOG STICK is push to the LEFT, then it
will accelerate.

3. Go to Super Speedway Endurance with the Supra.

4. Get a rubberband and wrap it around the TWO analog
sticks at the countdown.

When you start, your car WILL crash to the right wall but
that is OKAY! You will then RIDE the wall and pass
everyone. Just stay for a little bit for like 2-5 laps and
make sure nothing happens so that your car gets stuck.

If it goes well without getting stuck, then turn off the
TV, put your controller in a safe spot, and take a ONE
HOUR sleep. When you wake up and check it, then you would
have won and lapped the CPUs about 20 times.

heh heh heh. I'll have to try that. First I have to make enough money to buy/mod the Supra. Thanks

I'm not a big fan of that particular technique. I usually race enough to be able to afford a reasonably fast AWD car(EVO or STi), then go get the rally license. Go to the two wet track series at the end(you can run them in street tires), win those, and use the rally car that you win from that to finish off the rest of the rally series. When you finish all the rally series you will win an Escudo, which you can use for all your oval track needs.
