Any amateur radio operators here?

I'm always interested in meeting more hams that are also into cars. Anyone in the Bay Area forum ever on the air?

I tend to hang out on 442.075 and 147.240.

My dad is, down Near Yosemite.

I was also interested in HAM, but never had the motivation to get my liscence.

Just what I need. Another expensive hobby! My father spends thousands on his hobby!

I hope that you can find somebody on here that you can sqwak with on here!

Check to see if Ozy is still checking out the board. He's really been into HAM, and on his last car he had some GPS transmitter hooked up through it so other people could track him while he's on the road :P

Yeah, it's called GPRS... a means of connecting a GPS, radio and usually a computer, too, to plot the positions of each station on a map. It's pretty cool. Magellan now makes FRS/GMRS radios that do it on their own!
