Everything was fine until I got back from Auto-X last night. The car was making a slight "shhh" sound.

This morning when I started the car, the metal had contracted and it was LOUD! The sound is coming from the IC side of the uppipe.

It doesn't surprise me, but I thought that maybe I had cheated the gods of good parts this one time.

I'lm going out to try and tighten it down once the car cools down. Hopefully that will hold it until I can get ahold of proper bolts and some new gaskets (just in case).

I'm pretty depressed about the car right now because I got the CC bill with all my purchases from the last month, and I still don't have the AVC-R, nor the Unichip installed, and my upipe is ****ed up.

I know I'll get it all together eventually, but for right now I'm feeling sorry for myself.

Did you leave the turbo brackets off the car?

Red face Good news, kind of.

I found my problem, and it will NOT require a reinstall. Remember that my uppipe has an after market O2 bung... well, the plug fell out. It must have been too loose and then fell out. So now I need to know the size for the O2 bung (if anybody can help me out here... is it standard?) and crawl underneath and put it in. Of course this time I'll tighten that ***** down something proper-like.

Yes, Wes, I left the turbo brackets off the car.

I'm Richard.

I was the guy that was banging my head on the dashboard on Saturday, close to tears trying to tune my stupid ****tard UTEC just to go 13.4's.

The announcer was giving mad props to your blue wagon all night long, btw.

I'm Greg,

I'm stupid and screw up people's names. People I recognize on sight, and by screen name.

Anyway, I went out to Checkers (Napa was closed) and the guy looked at me like I was stupid. The response I got was.

Turbo cars? I'm just starting to learn about turbo cars. If you want stuff for turbo cars you need to go to Ron's down in Mapunapuna. Or you can go to WMR. They love WRX's at WMR."
As far as I know, bungs into the exhaust are not solely exclusive to the realm of forced-induction engines. Anyway, I know I need an 1/8 NPT or BSPT EGT bung hole plug. (ha ha! I said bung hole!) If anyone can give me a place that carries this stuff that is a bit closer to Mililani, I'd appreciate it a lot. Otherwise, watch for me near Mapunapuna tomorrow afternoon sometime.
